Increasing Mobility of Tracked Vehicles during Curvilinear Motion by Redistributing Power Flows

چکیده

A kinematic diagram of an electromechanical transmission a high-speed tracked vehicle with two traction electric motors, on-board gearboxes and ZK-type differential turning mechanism, which makes it possible to effectively distribute power flows between the sides during curvilinear motion, is proposed.

3D Mobility Learning and Regression of Articulated, Tracked Robotic Vehicles by Physics-based Optimization

Motion planning for robots operating on 3D rough terrain requires the synergy of various robotic capabilities, from sensing and perception to simulation, planning and prediction. In this paper, we focus on the higher level of this pipeline where by means of physics-based simulation and geometric processing we extract the information that is semantically required for an articulated, tracked robo...

Trajectory Planning of Tracked Vehicles

The motions of planar tracked vehicles are govemed by three force and moment equations, but driven by only two independent control variables. The force equation perpendicular to the tracks represents a d y n a m i c nonholonomic constraint which is explicitly dependent on vehicle speed. It couples path planning with trajectory planning, that is, solving for vehicle kinematic motions requires sp...

Visual Odometry for Tracked Vehicles

Localization and mapping on autonomous robots typically requires a good pose estimate, which is hard to acquire if the vehicle is tracked. In this paper we describe a solution to the pose estimation problem by utilizing a consumer-quality camera and an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU). The basic idea is to continuously track salient features with the KLT feature tracker [12] over multiple images...

Learning the Dynamics of Articulated Tracked Vehicles

In this work, we present a Bayesian non-parametric approach to model the motion control of ATVs. The motion control model is based on a Dirichlet Process-Gaussian Process (DP-GP) mixture model. The DP-GP mixture model provides a flexible representation of patterns of control manoeuvres along trajectories of different lengths and discretizations. The model also estimates the number of patterns, ...

Investigating the Mobility of Light Autonomous Tracked Vehicles Using a High Performance Computing Simulation Capability

This paper is concerned with the physics-based simulation of light tracked vehicles operating on rough deformable terrain. The focus is on small autonomous vehicles, which weigh less than 100 lb and move on deformable and rough terrain that is feature rich and no longer representable using a continuum approach. A scenario of interest is, for instance, the simulation of a reconnaissance mission ...
